Anna Ivanova

M.Sc. candidate

Anna started her MSc with the Theraphage Lab in Spring 2024. She completed her B.Sc. Honour’s Biology student at the University of Waterloo in 2024, specializing in molecular biology. He project focuses on reprogramming astrocytes into functional neurons as a novel therapeutic strategy for treating neurodegenerative diseases. By targeting astrocytes with engineered bacteriophages, it aims to overcome the challenges of gene delivery to the brain, offering a potential way to regenerate neurons.
